"They found something far greater than just love – they discovered an everlasting friendship"

Hanif had known a girl with a unique name, "Clarecha," since junior high school. He often heard Clarecha’s name shortened to Echa, but they never knew each other well or were even acquainted. 

Unexpectedly, during a holiday, Hanif attended an Islamic Quran class with a friend and met Clarecha’s father, who was conversing with their teacher. Hanif’s friend, who already knew Echa, called her and subsequently introduced her to Hanif over the phone. As such, they ended up becoming new friends after the conversation.

As the days passed, they simply clicked and grew closer as pen pals in this digital era. They chatted, shared stories, motivated each other through highs and lows, or just babbled about their silly crushes at that time. Interestingly, they had never met and were in different schools. Theirs was a simple story of finding a true friend that flowed naturally year after year.

Finally, when Hanif graduated from his high school, he decided to go to college in Turkey. Meanwhile, Echa was still in the 12th grade, preparing for her university test. Before leaving for Turkey, Hanif asked Echa to wait for him, and she understood his intention. Echa also hoped to be accepted at a university in Turkey. However, the following year, she got accepted into a state university in Bandung, for which both she and Hanif were grateful.

Their journey took them on a roller coaster ride of a long-distance relationship, filled with various disappointments and sadness. Nonetheless, fate brought them together, allowing Echa and Hanif to rebuild their relationship with sincerity and understanding. They found something far greater than just love – they discovered an everlasting friendship and became inseparable.

Hanif and Echa could discuss anything in their lives without fear of judgment or discomfort. They were good listeners for each other and made an exceptional team. It was Hanif and Echa's dream to find each other long before they became close, and by God's grace, they eventually came together in a fantastic manner.

Last year, Hanif planned to take the next step with Echa, so he flew to Indonesia and met Echa's father again after several years. He expressed his intentions to marry Echa and, Alhamdulillah, her father accepted his proposal. Now, bismillah they are getting married!
